Dark Wood Panels

One-Time Collection from the Shores of Karak, Jordan
Specimen with Salt Stone Inclusions

Collected at a forgotten bend of the Jordanian shoreline, this is Dead Sea water — raw, undisturbed, and saturated with history. The bottle holds 10ml of high-density saline from the lowest point on Earth (approx. 1,410 feet below sea level), where no fish swim and no boat can drift — only salt-laden silence and light refracted across a biblical horizon.

This specimen was gathered during a drive from Aqaba to Amman, tracing the edge of a body of water that has carried prophets, pilgrims, and empire armies in its shadows. We found a hidden access point in Karak, far from the resorts and crowds, where salt crusts the rocks like fossilized frost. There, we collected stray shoreline debris before drawing a small amount of water into a single bottle.

The Dead Sea has been revered since ancient times as a place of healing. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in it. Herod the Great prized its minerals. Today, its waters are studied for their unique chemistry — nearly 10 times saltier than the ocean, with high concentrations of magnesium, calcium, potassium, and bromide. It is one of the most studied hypersaline lakes on Earth.

Floating in it is surreal. Dense. Groundless. Like being held by time itself.

Each bottle contains a few natural salt stone fragments — collected from the surrounding shore — and is sealed with the respect due to a vanishing natural wonder. No two samples are alike.

Limited. One-time collection. Handle with awareness.
